Rachel Bilson, the American actress most commonly known for her role as Summer Roberts in the hit television series 'The O.C'. Rachel Bilson was born in Los Angeles, California on August 25, 1981. She grew up in a show business family; Rachel admittedly got anything and everything she wanted. Rachel had a rebellious moment during her teenage years which led to a fatal car accident; the accident which involved another car in a head-on collision changed her life. She then told herself to quit making trouble and to take life seriously. She later took a more active role in her school work and participated in school plays, which gave her a way in to an acting career. Bilson debuted in 2003 and has been successful ever since. She has received numerous awards such as Hottie female at the teen choice awards, Choice TV Drama Actress and the best onscreen chemistry with Adam Brody. She was also Maxim magazines 6th hottest female of 2005 and 14th hottest in 2006 but she thinks of her body as a sacred place and that it is not for public display; which is why she only appears in semi-nude poses in magazines.
